Food Network 'Restaurant Impossible' Used By First Lady Obama to Push Healthy Food Agenda

For those who are fans of the show, 'Restaurant Impossible,' featuring a failing restaurant which receives a face lift within 48 hours by the famous Robert Irvine and his team, Mrs. Obama gave the famous chef a challenge. The challenge did not involve a restaurant, it involved the schools and the American children. Her challenge was for Irvine to help American kids eat right and be active.

This story from the first lady is constantly getting beaten in the ground. She changed several school's lunch menus and those schools ended up wasting food because it was so bad. Students actually appreciated their parent's sandwich bags. Even so, it is great that Irvine and the team helped the Washington D.C. Community Center, and he admitted to doing the mission in order to help the center and the kids. Which is great. Also, if there is a chef that could make healthy food taste good, he's definitely one.

After going over Food Network's Facebook account on Wednesday, it was apparent that many who enjoy the show would not be watching the show. Maybe it is because Americans get tired of listening to politicians tell them what they have to do, how they need to change to meet the politician's personal agenda, and having a government that seems to not only push agenda on adults but also on their children. Not to mention the fact that with all the health and activity talk, the President and his wife have been seen enjoying a good amount of unhealthy food. Americans do not take well to people, such as Bloomberg, who claim that it is government's responsibility to make and keep Americans healthy, because the truth is, it is personal responsibility. It is the government's responsibility to run the country correctly and in a good direction, not control every aspect of their citizen's lives.

Even though, this was one episode that many did not watch, it is good to be healthy and to push for healthier environments and lifestyle. However, it is just getting ridiculous to keep pushing the issue to the point of trying to have so much control over Americans lives that they have little to no right to decide for themselves. Of course, if all of these people truly wanted to help end the unhealthy epidemic, maybe they should start with shutting down some of the most unhealthy food chains and cause more unemployment.
